How Sela handles data

Last updated: June 23, 2026

Sela is built to need as little of your data as possible. There's no signup, no account, and no email required to use it. This policy explains exactly what that means in practice.

1. What we don't collect

Sela does not require an account. We don't collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal identifying information to use the app. There is no login system and nothing stored about you on a Sela server tied to your identity.

2. What Sela does interact with

To use Sela, you connect a Solana wallet (such as Phantom). Here's what that involves:

3. On-chain data

Solana is a public blockchain. Every payment made through Sela, the amount, the sender's wallet, and the recipient's wallet, is visible on the public ledger, the same as any standard on-chain transfer. Sela does not hide or encrypt any part of a transaction. Sela's Smart TX Stack (dynamic Jito tips and AI-assisted retry) exists to help your payment land reliably, not to hide it.

4. Cookies and analytics

Sela does not use third-party advertising trackers or sell any data to anyone, because we don't collect personal data to sell in the first place. If basic, anonymized analytics are ever added to understand traffic patterns (e.g. page views, not individual identity), this policy will be updated to reflect that before it happens.

5. Third-party services

Sela relies on infrastructure providers to function: a Solana RPC provider for chain reads and writes, and Jito for transaction submission. These providers may process technical request data (such as IP address and RPC call data) under their own privacy policies as part of standard infrastructure operation. Sela does not share any personal data with these providers because Sela itself does not collect any.

6. Your wallet, your control

Sela never has access to your private keys or seed phrase. Every transaction requires your explicit approval through your connected wallet. Disconnecting your wallet at any time ends Sela's access to your session entirely.

7. Changes to this policy

If Sela's data practices change, for example, if we ever introduce optional accounts or notifications, this page will be updated and the "last updated" date above will reflect it.
